Amani Hooker Injury: Questionable for Week 9
Tennessee Titans Safety Amani Hooker is questionable for Week 9 after suffering a concussion in Week 8.
Hooker was injured in the Titans' 19-10 loss to the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday. He was forced to leave the game in the second quarter after taking a hit to the head from Colts wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr.
Hooker is now in the NFL's concussion protocol. He will need to clear the protocol before he is allowed to return to practice or play in a game.
Hooker is a key member of the Titans' defense. He has started all eight games this season and has recorded 32 tackles, two interceptions, and one forced fumble.
If Hooker is unable to play in Week 9, the Titans will be without one of their top defensive players. The Titans will face the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday Night Football in Week 9.
The Chiefs are one of the most explosive offenses in the NFL. They are led by quarterback Patrick Mahomes, who is one of the best players in the league.
The Titans will need to be at their best on defense if they want to have a chance of beating the Chiefs. If Hooker is unable to play, the Titans will have a tough time slowing down Mahomes and the Chiefs' offense.
