Atlanta Falcons Roster 2020
Falcons Look to Rebound in 2020
The Atlanta Falcons struggled in 2019, finishing with a disappointing 7-9 record. The team's offense was one of the worst in the NFL, and the defense was also subpar. As a result, the Falcons fired head coach Dan Quinn and hired former Tennessee Titans offensive coordinator Arthur Smith to replace him.
Key Additions
The Falcons made several key additions to their roster in 2020, including wide receiver Julio Jones, running back Todd Gurley, and defensive end Dante Fowler. Jones is one of the best receivers in the NFL, and Gurley is a former All-Pro running back. Fowler is a talented pass rusher who should help improve the Falcons' defense.
Key Losses
The Falcons also lost some key players in 2020, including quarterback Matt Ryan, wide receiver Mohamed Sanu, and defensive end Takk McKinley. Ryan is one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL, and Sanu is a solid receiver. McKinley is a talented pass rusher who had a breakout season in 2019.
Outlook
The Falcons have a lot of talent on their roster, but they need to stay healthy and play together in order to be successful. The team's offense should be much better in 2020 with Jones and Gurley, but the defense is still a question mark. If the Falcons can get their defense to play better, they have the potential to be a playoff contender in 2020.
