Barcelona regain top spot after impressive victory over rivals Mallorca

Goals from Robert Lewandowski, Raphinha and Ansu Fati secure crucial win

Mallorca's Vedat Muriqi had given visitors early lead at Camp Nou

FC Barcelona returned to the summit of LaLiga after a thrilling 3-1 victory over RCD Mallorca at the Camp Nou on Sunday night.

The hosts fell behind early on when Vedat Muriqi headed home from a corner in the 4th minute.

However, Barcelona responded well and equalised through Robert Lewandowski in the 20th minute. The Polish striker headed in a cross from Jordi Alba to level the scores.

Barcelona continued to press for a winner and Raphinha eventually put them ahead in the 79th minute. The Brazilian winger cut inside from the right and fired a low shot into the bottom corner.

Ansu Fati sealed the victory for Barcelona in the 93rd minute. The young forward finished off a counter-attack with a composed finish.

The win sees Barcelona move back to the top of the table, one point ahead of Real Madrid. Mallorca remain in 10th place.

Impressive performance from Barcelona

Barcelona put in an impressive performance against Mallorca, particularly in the second half.

They were able to dominate possession and create chances at will. They also showed great character to come back from behind and secure the victory.

Robert Lewandowski was once again in excellent form, scoring Barcelona's equaliser and assisting Raphinha's goal.

Pedri and Gavi were also impressive in midfield, controlling the tempo of the game and creating chances for their teammates.

Disappointing result for Mallorca

Mallorca will be disappointed with the result, but they can take some solace from the fact that they gave Barcelona a good game.

They took a surprise lead and defended well for large parts of the match. However, they were unable to hold on for a point in the end.

Vedat Muriqi was Mallorca's best player on the night. The Kosovan striker scored their goal and caused Barcelona problems all night with his physicality.
