Brian Robinson Jr. Shot in Attempted Robbery

was shot multiple times during an attempted robbery or carjacking in Washington, D.C., on Sunday night, the team announced in a statement. Robinson Jr. is currently in stable condition at a local hospital, and his injuries are not considered life-threatening.

According to the police report, Robinson Jr. was sitting in his car in the 1000 block of H Street Northeast when he was approached by two armed suspects. The suspects demanded Robinson Jr.'s belongings, and when he refused, they opened fire.

Robinson Jr. was struck twice in the lower body, and he was able to drive himself to a nearby hospital. He is expected to make a full recovery, but he will likely miss the start of the regular season.
