The Brooklyn Nets finally snapped their 12-game losing streak on Wednesday night, defeating the Detroit Pistons 121-104 at Barclays Center.
The Nets were led by Cam Thomas, who scored a game-high 21 points. Seth Curry added 20 points, while Kyrie Irving and Nic Claxton each scored 18.
The Pistons were led by Saddiq Bey, who scored 19 points. Jaden Ivey added 17 points, while Isaiah Stewart scored 15.
Nets Break Out of Slump
The Nets had been struggling mightily of late, losing 12 straight games coming into Wednesday's contest.
But against the Pistons, the Nets looked like a different team. They shot 50.6% from the field and 40.0% from three-point range.
The Nets also forced the Pistons into 16 turnovers, which led to 20 points.
Pistons Continue to Struggle
The Pistons, meanwhile, have now lost four straight games and are just 11-29 on the season.
The Pistons have been one of the worst teams in the NBA this season, and they have struggled to find consistency on both ends of the floor.
Against the Nets, the Pistons shot just 40.5% from the field and 25.0% from three-point range.
Irving Returns for Nets
Kyrie Irving returned to the Nets lineup on Wednesday after missing the previous two games due to a right calf injury.
Irving finished with 18 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists in his return.
The Nets are now 21-21 on the season and are currently in seventh place in the Eastern Conference.
