Formula 1 driver Carlos Sainz is looking ahead to the Sprint race at the Brazilian Grand Prix, believing it will provide more overtaking opportunities due to the shorter track length.
Sainz, who finished eighth in the qualifying race last weekend in Mexico, said he is confident of a strong performance in Brazil, where he has a good record.
“I think the Sprint race will be very interesting,” said Sainz. “It’s a shorter track than Mexico, so there will be more action. I think we can make some good progress from our starting position and fight for a good result.”
Sainz stressed the importance of a good start and strategy for a successful race. "The start will be crucial, as it will be difficult to overtake later on,” he said.
“We need to make sure we have a good strategy and execute it perfectly. We have a good car, and we know we can challenge for a podium finish if we do everything right.”
The Sprint race will take place on Saturday, November 12, with the full Grand Prix taking place on Sunday, November 13.
