Carlos Sainz qualifies fifth for Brazilian Sprint

Carlos Sainz will start the sprint race from fifth place after a strong qualifying session at Interlagos.

The Spaniard set a time of 1:11.665s on his final lap of Q3, just 0.069s off the pace of pole-sitter Max Verstappen. It was a great result for Sainz, who has been in good form all weekend.

Sainz was happy with his performance, saying: "I'm really happy with fifth place, it's a good result for us. The car has been feeling good all weekend and I think we can have a good race."

Sainz will be hoping to make a good start in the sprint race and move up the order. He will be starting behind Verstappen, Lewis Hamilton, George Russell and Sergio Perez, but he will be confident of his chances of overtaking them.
