Joe Flacco to Start for the New York Jets In Week 8 Against the New England Patriots
The New York Jets have officially named Joe Flacco as their starting quarterback for their week 8 matchup against the New England Patriots.
Flacco will be making his second start of the season after Mike White suffered a calf injury in the Jets' week 7 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals.
Flacco, 38, has completed 60.4% of his passes for 901 yards, five touchdowns, and three interceptions in four games this season.
He has also rushed for 51 yards and one touchdown.
The Jets are hoping that Flacco can provide some stability to their offense, which has struggled to find its footing this season.
The Jets are currently 1-6 and in last place in the AFC East.
They will be looking to get back on track against the Patriots, who are 3-4 and in second place in the AFC East.
The Jets and Patriots will kick off at 8:20 p.m. ET on Sunday, October 30.
