Wagner's Stellar Night Leads Magic to Victory Over Mavs

Magic Snap Mavs' Winning Streak

The Orlando Magic snapped the Dallas Mavericks' four-game winning streak with a 113-93 victory on Wednesday night at the Amway Center. Franz Wagner led the way for the Magic with a career-high 38 points, including 24 in the second half.

Wagner was 14-of-19 from the field and 4-of-8 from three-point range. He also added six rebounds and five assists.

The Mavericks were led by Luka Dončić, who had 24 points, 10 rebounds, and eight assists. However, Dončić was just 8-of-24 from the field and committed seven turnovers.

"We didn't play with enough energy or intensity tonight," Dončić said. "We let them get too comfortable, and they made us pay."

The Magic took control of the game in the second quarter, outscoring the Mavericks 35-19. Wagner scored 14 points in the quarter, including a pair of three-pointers.

The Mavericks never got closer than 10 points in the second half, as the Magic continued to shoot the ball well. Orlando finished the game shooting 50% from the field and 40% from three-point range.

"We played a great game tonight," Magic coach Jamahl Mosley said. "Franz was phenomenal, and we got contributions from everyone. This was a big win for us."

The Mavericks will look to bounce back on Friday night when they host the New Orleans Pelicans.
