NCT’s Jaehyun is preparing for his upcoming military enlistment. On March 30, 2023, the idol unveiled a new buzz cut on his Instagram. The post was simply captioned with a black heart and “Hwaiting.” NCTzens were quick to comment their support and well wishes for the idol. Jaehyun’s new look comes as a surprise to many fans, as he is known for his long, flowing hair. However, it is a common practice for male idols to cut their hair short before enlisting in the military. Jaehyun has not yet announced an official enlistment date, but it is expected to be sometime in the near future. All able-bodied men in South Korea are required to serve in the military for approximately two years. Jaehyun will likely serve in the army, as is common for most male idols.
