New Openers Given License as Cummins Reveals XI for First ODI

Australia's selectors have opted for a new opening combination for the first ODI against England.

With David Warner rested and Marcus Harris injured, Josh Inglis and Travis Head will open the batting in Cardiff. Inglis has been in impressive form for Australia A in recent months, while Head has shown good touch at the top of the order for South Australia.

Cameron Green has been recalled to the side after missing the T20 series due to injury.

The all-rounder will bat at number six and provide Australia with an additional bowling option. Josh Hazlewood is also back in the team after recovering from a side strain.
