New York Marathon 2024: Registration Now Open
The 53rd running of the New York City Marathon will take place on Sunday, November 3, 2024.
Registration is now open for the general public.
The New York City Marathon is one of the most popular marathons in the world, with over 50,000 runners participating each year. The race starts in Staten Island and finishes in Central Park, passing through all five boroughs of New York City.
The 2024 marathon will be the 53rd running of the event. The first New York City Marathon was held in 1970, with just 127 runners participating. The race has grown exponentially since then, and is now one of the most prestigious marathons in the world.
The 2024 marathon will be the first to be held since the COVID-19 pandemic. The 2020 and 2021 marathons were both canceled due to the pandemic, and the 2022 marathon was held with a reduced number of runners.
Registration for the 2024 marathon is now open. The entry fee is $295 for US runners and $350 for international runners. Runners can register online at the New York Road Runners website.
The New York City Marathon is a challenging but rewarding experience. Runners who cross the finish line in Central Park will have a sense of accomplishment that will last a lifetime.
