No Timeline for Le Normand's Return from Brain Injury, Says Atletico Coach Simeone

Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone has said that there is no timeline for defender Josema Gimenez's return from a brain injury.

Gimenez suffered the injury in a collision with Real Betis forward Borja Iglesias during Atletico's 2-1 defeat on Sunday. He was taken to hospital and underwent tests, which revealed a slight traumatic brain injury.

Simeone said at a press conference on Tuesday that Gimenez is "feeling better" but that there is no timeline for his return.

"He's feeling better, but we don't know when he'll be back," Simeone said. "We'll take it day by day and see how he progresses."

Gimenez is a key player for Atletico, and his absence is a blow to the team. The Uruguayan international has made 18 appearances for Atletico this season, scoring one goal.

Atletico are next in action on Saturday when they travel to Real Sociedad in La Liga.
