Panthers 2023 Depth Chart

Quarterback

Sam Darnold is the Panthers' starting quarterback heading into the 2023 season. He'll be backed up by P.J. Walker and rookie Matt Corral.

Running Back

Christian McCaffrey is the Panthers' lead running back, and he's one of the best in the NFL. Behind him, they have D'Onta Foreman, who is a capable backup. Chuba Hubbard is also on the roster, but he's expected to miss the 2023 season with an ACL injury.

Wide Receiver

The Panthers have a lot of talent at wide receiver, led by DJ Moore, Robbie Anderson, and Terrace Marshall Jr. Shi Smith and Rashard Higgins are also on the roster, and they could contribute in the slot.

Tight End

Ian Thomas is the Panthers' starting tight end, and he's a solid pass-catching threat. Behind him, they have Tommy Tremble, who is a good blocker and has some upside as a receiver.

Offensive Line

The Panthers have a lot of experience on their offensive line, led by left tackle Taylor Moton and right guard Austin Corbett. They also have some young talent, such as center Pat Elflein and right tackle Brady Christensen.

Defensive Line

The Panthers have a lot of depth on their defensive line, led by Brian Burns and Derrick Brown. They also have some young talent, such as Yetur Gross-Matos and Marquis Haynes.

Linebacker

The Panthers have a solid group of linebackers, led by Shaq Thompson and Frankie Luvu. They also have some young talent, such as Jeremy Chinn and Julian Stanford.

Cornerback

The Panthers have a lot of talent at cornerback, led by Jaycee Horn and Donte Jackson. They also have some young talent, such as CJ Henderson and Keith Taylor.
