Raiders' Injury Report: Key Players Out for Sunday's Game
Las Vegas Faces Uphill Battle Against Kansas City Chiefs
Carr, Jacobs, and Waller Among Those Ruled Out
The Las Vegas Raiders have released their final injury report ahead of Sunday's crucial game against the Kansas City Chiefs, and it's not good news for the Silver and Black. Starting quarterback Derek Carr, running back Josh Jacobs, and tight end Darren Waller have all been ruled out due to injuries.
Carr is dealing with a high ankle sprain, while Jacobs is nursing a calf injury. Waller, who has been battling a hamstring issue, will also miss the game. These are three of the most important players on the Raiders' offense, and their absence will be a major blow.
In addition to these key players, the Raiders will also be without several other key contributors on Sunday. Wide receiver Hunter Renfrow (concussion), safety Johnathan Abram (shoulder), and defensive end Clelin Ferrell (ankle) have all been ruled out. Defensive tackle Bilal Nichols (knee) is questionable to play.
The Raiders are already facing an uphill battle against the Chiefs, who are the defending AFC champions. The absence of so many key players will make it even more difficult for Las Vegas to pull off the upset.
The Raiders will need to find a way to generate offense without Carr, Jacobs, and Waller. That could be a tall task against a Chiefs defense that is ranked among the best in the NFL.
The Raiders will also need to find a way to contain Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, who is one of the most dynamic players in the league. Mahomes has thrown for over 3,000 yards and 25 touchdowns this season.
The Raiders-Chiefs game is scheduled to kick off at 1:00 PM ET on Sunday. It will be televised on CBS.
