SE Iowa Beef Quality Assurance Trainings
Trainings to Cover Cow-Calf, Feedlot, and Finishing Operations
The Iowa Beef Center at Iowa State University Extension and Outreach will offer Beef Quality Assurance (BQA) trainings throughout southeast Iowa in January and February. BQA is an educational and certification program for beef producers to improve the quality, safety, and efficiency of beef production through judicious use of management practices.

- Cattle handling and low-stress stockmanship
- Record keeping and treatment documentation
- BQA certification
The trainings will be held in the following locations:
- January 17, 2023: Henry County Fairgrounds, Mount Pleasant
- January 18, 2023: Jefferson County Fairgrounds, Fairfield
- January 19, 2023: Keokuk County Fairgrounds, Sigourney
- January 23, 2023: Wapello County Fairgrounds, Ottumwa
- January 24, 2023: Washington County Fairgrounds, Washington
- January 25, 2023: Louisa County Fairgrounds, Wapello
- January 26, 2023: Muscatine County Fairgrounds, Muscatine
- February 1, 2023: Johnson County Fairgrounds, Iowa City
- February 2, 2023: Cedar County Fairgrounds, Tipton
- February 6, 2023: Scott County Fairgrounds, Davenport
- February 7, 2023: Clinton County Fairgrounds, DeWitt
- February 8, 2023: Jackson County Fairgrounds, Maquoketa
All trainings will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Pre-registration is required by contacting the host county ISU Extension and Outreach office.
