Franklin Skates Past Sharon with Ease
Sharon Tigers Fall To Franklin Panthers
Franklin High School's football team defeated Sharon High School 35-7 on Friday night. The Panthers scored early and often, taking a 21-0 lead in the first half. Franklin quarterback David Moore threw for 2 touchdowns and ran for another.
The Tigers were unable to get their offense going, managing only 113 yards of total offense. Sharon quarterback Michael Smith threw for 59 yards and an interception. The Tigers were only able to score in the fourth quarter as the game was already out of reach.
Franklin's defense was strong all night, holding Sharon to just 7 points. The Panthers sacked Smith 4 times and intercepted him once. Franklin also forced 2 fumbles.
The win improves Franklin's record to 4-1. The Panthers will host Stoughton High School next week. Sharon falls to 1-4 with the loss. The Tigers will travel to North Attleborough High School next week.
