Jason Beede: #Magic coach Jamahl Mosley said Wendell Carter Jr. (right knee tendinitis) is AVAILABLE
Orlando Magic’s Wendell Carter Jr.’s latest return
Carter missed the Magic’s 113-110 loss at New Orleans on Wednesday night due to right knee tendinitis.
“He’s available,” Mosley said before Friday’s game against the Indiana Pacers at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. “We’ll just see how he feels after shootaround.”
Carter, acquired from the Chicago Bulls in a trade for Nikola Vucevic in February, is averaging 12.2 points and 10.0 rebounds in 27 games with the Magic this season and has missed nine.
Carter’s absence was felt in the Magic’s loss to the Pelicans.
Mo Bamba started at center and had just three points and two rebounds in 21 minutes. Moritz Wagner had six points and four rebounds off the bench.
Carter’s return would be a boost to the Magic, who are 20-61 and in last place in the Eastern Conference.
